The UNINA research unit involved in this project is composed of 3 structured personnel (information on CVs with research interests can be found under “partners” and at the provided links):

and of 2 research fellows specifically recruited for this project:

The UNINA RU, in a broader sense and in collaboration with other colleagues, deals with a range of topics, some of which are:

• Biomass/sludge thermo-conversion processes (e.g., pyrolysis, gasification, hydrothermal liquefaction);
• CO₂ capture (e.g. calcium looping, sorption-enhanced gasification, adsorption) from industrial sources;
• Design and modelling of chemical reactors and plants; 
• Fluidisation;
• Re-use of solid wastes;
• Synthesis of innovative/eco-sustainable binders/special materials;
• Thermochemical solar energy storage.

These activities are also carried out within funded research projects. Among the current ones, there are:

• PNRR "Network 4 energy sustainable transition – NEST";
• PNRR "National center for sustainable mobility – MOST".
